Do
you accept insurance?
We currently accept Medicaid
and cash payments based on a sliding scale. We will be able to accept other insurance in the very near future.
Do you do internet counseling?
This site is for the ethical advertisement of a licensed professional counseling
service. For counseling to occur, you must make an appointment and be seen face-to-face at the office or in your home.
Since legislation and ethics have changed supporting internet counseling, we may incorporate support via the internet for established clients but we will not participate in
internet counseling as a sole form of counseling.
What does ACT! stand for?
ACT is an acronym for Active Christian Team. This means that we conduct ourselves based on sound Biblical principles as we understand them. While
we do not limit counseling or impose judgment on clients with a different belief system, we want to make it known upfront
that God is the binding force in our business and personal lives.
How do I make an
appointment?
Simply
call 1-573-578-6858 or go to the "Contact Us" page for additional contact options. A counselor will take your information or you
may leave a message and we will return your call. If you require immediate medical attention, please call 911.
What about confidentiality?
When you make your first appointment, you will be able to read and sign a confidentiality agreement. All information
you share one-on-one with a counselor will be kept in strictest confidence. We are however mandated to report any information
of intended harm to self or to another identified person. If you become part of a Group Program, you will read and sign
a statement that explains the limits of confidentiality in a group setting.
Where are
you located?
Our main office is now in Rolla, Missouri located at 616 N. Pine, (just a few doors past Avalon on the right, and just before Shelter Insurance). We also conduct home visits
throughout Phelps and Pulaski Counties if that is more convenient for you. Please call or email for directions from
the "Contact Us" page.
Will my child be safe in a group?
The safety and well-being of both adults and children are our
highest priority. Group members are screened for the best fit. If a conflict would arise, our counselors have
the training and experience to ensure safety for all. In addition to careful client evaluation, each
counselor with ACT! Counseling has been subjected to a complete F.B.I. background check, including fingerprinting. We
treat your children like our children... and we take no chances with our children.
